While visiting Montana Park in Pretoria the whole family will enjoy a trip to the Pioneer Museum in Silverton which was established in 1846. Here you will get a taste of how they lived, you will see how they baked bread, roasted coffee, ground the wheat and you may even try your hand at milking. The farm has a beautiful surrounding gardens where you can enjoy a family picnic too. The Wonderboom Nature Reserve is a fascinating outing for the whole family where you will see the well known wild fig tree which boasts a tree trunk of over 5m thick. The Sand-stone Union Building is well known for its symbolic two wings which represent the unity of the two cultures since the Anglo Boer War. The Union Building is not open to the public but is admired from the surrounding gardens. Also in Montana Park you and your family will be able to enjoy the exhilarating Karting where all ages are welcome. It is available for team building events, work functions and parties and is open 7 days a week.
