Capital Park is a quiet, peaceful suburb in Pretoria.

While visiting Capital Park, it would be well worth your while to take the family to the Naional Zoological Gardens which is one of the worlds best zoo's. There is a cable way which takes you to the top of the hill and allows for beaufiful views. There is a petting zoo at the farmyard for the little children and and aquarium that has tours through into the evening which makes the event so much more beautiful. The Naional Zoological Gardens also had camping tours where you may camp overnight and enjoy the fascinating stories and learn about the nocturnal animals such as the owl and jackal. While visiting Capital Park, you might want to check out and book at the South African State Theatre as it is host to a variety of wold class shows, cabaret, ballets,operas and childrens theatre. For those who are interested in the history of South Africa, the Kruger Museum is a must. It is the beautifully restored, once home of Paul Kruger and you will enjoy the guided tours and information. There is also a museum shop which along with the Kruger Museum, is open daily.

Capital Park enjoys a moderate climate with hot summer days and cooler evenings with most rainfall as thunderstorms, lightening and hail. The winter months are cool to very cold.
