A very interesting place to visit while in Klapmuts is the Afrikaans Taal Museum which is a beautifully refurbished Georgian-style house built in the 1860's. Here you will get the realistic feel of what it was like in the home of the farmers in those days. There are many exhibits to view from Afrikaans theatre, radio, film and television. Everyone will enjoy this experience from all ages and languages. The Afrikaans Taal Museum is open Mondays to Saturdays. Another interesting and historical place to visit while on holiday in Klapmuts, is the Afrikaans Taal Monument which also has a lovely restaurant with panoramic views.
