Wake to the African sunrise streaming over the beautiful Indian Ocean and start your day with your breakfast either el fresco on the deck or in the dinning area.
The Treehouse is located in laid back, tranquil Pumula (the "place of rest" in Zulu) on a highpoint giving stunning 120 degree sea views. Situated between Hibberdene and Port Shepstone (Durban Airport is 45 minutes away), Pumula has the advantage of isolation, whilst being close enough to everything and anything that one might need.
Set in safe and secure surroundings, fully walled, electronic gates and ample parking, The Treehouse sleeps 8 persons in comfort, offering a choice of 3 bedrooms, all en-suite, all on the upper level of the house and all have ceiling fans. Two of the rooms are double size with stunning sea views, the third bedroom has a Double bed and two bunk beds to sleep a total of 8 people in comfort.
The upper level of The Treehouse consists of a deck with braai area, enclosed verandah and bar area with an oak fitted bar and panoramic sea views. The huge lounge and dining area are snuggled around a yellow wood tree which supports the roof structure.
The kitchen is fully equipped, with major appliances of hob, split level oven, fridge/ freezer, microwave oven.
Crockery, cutlery and linen are provided. For hygiene reasons, kindly bring your own bath and beach towels.
There is a large TV set in the lounge and we have Satelite, but kindly bring your own DSTV decoder.
This all makes for the perfect holiday getaway for larger families or groups of friends.
Please just note that we have cheeky monkeys who roam around on occasions. So if you're eating outside on the deck/braai area please don't leave your food unattended, or you will find you have extra guests!
Pumula is a very quiet village, situated right between the beach and some beautiful bush/countryside. There is just one shop and bottle store (liquor store) and you'll find the locals are very friendly. The beach is very popular with fisherman, sun seekers and the occasional surfers alike.
The local beach is an 8 minute walk away, without having to cross any major roads or railway lines and is very popular with fisherman. The ever popular Banana Beach and Umzumbe Beach, complete with tidal/rock pools, shark nets, life guards and restaurants is within a two minute drive. Hibberdene, with its Blue Flag status and beach entertainment during the holiday season, is just a five minute drive away.
Activities abound along the coast with fishing, surfing, scuba diving, boat rides, biking trails and hiking and last but not least a number of excellent golf courses. For the more adventuresome, there are many adrenaline inducing diversions within a forty minute drive at Oribi Gorge (wild gorge swing, wild slide, white water rafting, abseiling and horse riding). Next to Oribi Gorge is Lake Eland Game Reserve and within a forty five minute drive down the coast is the Wild Coast Casino.
We look forward to making your stay an enjoyable and memorable one.

Take N2 from Durban towards Port Shepstone.
At Hibberdene take the R102 off ramp, stay on the R102 through Hibberdene for approx. 8 kms into Pumula. Do not turn off where you see the sign for Pumula Beach Hotel, this is in fact Umzumbe and not Pumula. Pumula is another 1.5 kms past here.
Turn right at the signpost for Pumula/Neptune's Corner into 2nd avenue, and at approx 200m turn left into 10th Avenue.
The Treehouse is the only driveway off 10th Avenue, on the left hand side and has The Treehouse sign post outside on the gate.
