Glen Ormond is a 6 hectare property, elevated above the Mpofana River between Rosetta and Mooi River in the picturesque and serene Natal Midlands. There are abundant wildlife species which move freely through the properties in the region, so be on the lookout for buck, mongoose, porcupines, jackal and otters. The birdlife is prolific, with frequent visits from Brown Eagle, Hammerkop and Long Crested Eagles, Gymnogenes, Natal Robins and Hoopoe, to mention but a few. The chattering red billed hoopoe is a frequent visitor and the Southern Grey Crowned Crane nest in the trees at the bottom of the property, Slowly, slowly just before sunset, creep down to the bottom of the property and watch them fly in for the night.

Whether unwinding in our delightful garden in summer or relaxing beside a roaring log fire in winter, guests enjoy the intimate atmosphere & high standard of personal attention we offer.

The owners of Glen Ormond are purveyors of fine finishes. The decor is elegant yet homely and meals are prepared with the focus on wholesomeness and good taste. We cater for vegetarians.

Self-catering accommodation, bed and breakfast or full board. Whilst all food is prepared in the main homestead, our guests are served their meals in the privacy of their own cottages/rooms. Imagine a lazy Sunday breakfast, in your PJ's, fire roaring in winter or on the veranda in summer watching the sun warm up our beautiful mountains. How about a garden picnic for dinner in summer while you watch the sun sink behind Giant's Castle? We have a heated swimming pool and ponies for small children to ride, but only under the strict supervision of the owners. Laundry facilities on site.
