The area:
Reebok is situated halfway between George and Mosselbay, 15 minutes drive
from the George Airport and within easy reach of various interesting places and
activities. We are ideally positioned to explore a large part of the Garden
Route.
The position:
BAI MOI is a luxury seafront house offering spectacular 180 degree views of the
ocean, to the East the ocean and coastline towards Glentana and Heroldsbay and
to the West towards Hartenbos and Mosselbay. A set of steps take you down to the
beach in seconds where you can enjoy the best of both worlds: towards the east
you have tidal pools for a few kilometres where you can spend hours walking on
the rocks and studying the marine life-or just thinking and day dreaming-you can
also do some safe snorkelling and the pools are very suitable for
swimming/playing for kids. Towards the west you have sandy beaches for
kilometres where you can do surfing, fishing, windsurfing, body boarding,
swimming, sun tanning hiking etc. The swimming beach at Klein Brak River is an
easy stroll away. From the comfort of your own stoep you can watch as the
dolphins and seasonal Southern Right Whales with their babies laze around in the
sea in front of the house. The Garden Route is a Bikers Paradise with numerous
good roads in close vicinity e.g. the beautiful mountain passes, Route 62,
Langkloof etc.
The house:
BAI MOI offers three double bedrooms, two with queen-sized beds and sea
views and one with two single beds and a northern view of the garden and outside
entertainment area. All bedrooms are En-Suite: one with a toilet, bath with
overhead shower, hand basin and bidet, one with a toilet, shower and hand basin
and one with a toilet and separate shower and hand basin. The house also has a
guest toilet and an outside toilet, shower and hand basin. It has two T.V. /
living areas, both offering spectacular sea views. Guests can bring their own
cable T.V. decoder or smart card or can pre-arrange full T.V. reception at a
small extra cost. On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen with
microwave oven, glass top stove and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and sink.
On the first floor is a sink, under counter fridge and coffee-making facility.
There is also an outside laundry equipped with a washing machine, dryer, Ironing
board and washing trough. For your vehicle we have a tandem lock-up garage. The
house is a non-smoking facility with room outside for smokers. On the Northern
side of the house we have a gem of sunny entertainment/barbeque/ living area
which is private and out of any possible sea wind. From this area you still have
sea views through the house. The house is not serviced during your stay but a
maid can be arranged at an extra cost if pre-arranged. Visitors need only bring
their own beach towels. The house sleeps 6 persons.
Things to do:
BAI MOI is situated within 25 minutes drive to a number of excellent Golf
courses, amongst them the world renowned Fancourt and Pinnacle Point, where the
Garden Route Casino is also situated. Mosselbay has a number of tourist
attractions e.g. the well known Post Office Tree and Museum, the Diaz Maritime
Museum, the cave at the Point, the St Blaize hiking trial etc. At nearby
Botlierskop you can go on a Big 5 game viewing trip on the back of an Elephant.
Game viewing can also be done at Jukani Wild Life Sanctuary and at The Garden
Route Game Lodge where Cheetahs are bred. Oudtshoorn, famous for the Kango
Caves, Ostrich farming and the Swartberg Pass can be reached via the beautiful
Robinson-, Outeniqua- or Montague-(dirt road) mountain passes. Travelling time
is about one hour. Knysna with all its splendour and attractions is also an
hour’s very scenic drive away. Not to mention a big variety of good restaurants,
shopping malls, cinemas, museums, hiking and 4x4 trails. Scuba diving, cycling,
Paragliding, diving with sharks, boat trips etc. are also popular activities.
