Waterkloof Park is one of the city’s most prestigious and beautiful suburbs in Pretoria, South Africa. It is a popular area and is beautifully manicured with tree-lined, neatly kept streets. The majority of homes in the area are upmarket with well manicured gardens. There is lots to see and do in the area from golfing, a variety of museums, theatres, heritage sites and the very popular National Zoological Gardens.

Attractions:
The Pretoria Country Club is a very popular club which is situated in Waterkloof. The club offers visitors and guests superb sporting facilities and much more. The Pretoria Country Club consists of two immaculately manicured bowling greens, a superb golf course which is rated one of the top 50 courses in the country, six of the best squash courts, six all-weather tennis courts of which two are floodlit for night games. The Club also offers four professional venues which can be used for corporate parties, private parties, conferences and weddings to mention only a few. One of the most recognized buildings in South Africa is The Union Building. It is not open to the public, as it houses the offices of the President of South Africa. The sandstone buildings are worth a visit, the architecture alone is interesting and worth it. The lawn in front of the Union Buildings are often the location for public gatherings, whether they be protest or celebration, such as the presidential inauguration.
The Pioneer Museum in Silverton is an interesting visit for the whole family. You will get to enjoy a variety of demonstrations such as wheat grinding, bread baking, coffee roasting, milking, candle-making and hide curing. It is a wonderful way to see how the families lived in those days. Guided tours are available by appointment.

Climate:
Waterkloof Park enjoys warm to hot summer months with most rainfall as afternoon thunderstorms. The winter months are cool and dry with sunny days. The evening temperatures drop considerably.
