Dewildt is a beautiful suburb in the North West Province. It has many attractions and is a perfect holiday destination for the family who is looking to get away from the busy city life and want to enjoy the outdoors and nature.

Attractions:
One of the most popular and interesting attractions is the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre which was set up in 1971 to protect cheetah. It has grown considerably since then and when visiting you will also get to see wild dogs, vultures, variety of buck and hyena. There is a 3 hour guided tour on an open 4x4 trail which is not to be missed. The Haartebeespoort Dam is a favourite getaway in Gauteng, for visitors and for the locals. Here you can choose from many watersports such as water skiing, abseiling, fishing or just relaxing on a boat. The are also a variety of fine restaurants that overlook the dam and arts and craft shops to view. A cable car is available for those who want to enjoy a trip to the top of Magaliesberg to enjoy the view and the hang-gliders from the top. As if that is not enough to keep you busy, there are also a few golf courses where you can enjoy a relaxing 18 holes or just enjoy hitting a few practice balls.

Climate:
Dewildt enjoys a tropical climate with warm to hot summer days with most rainfall in the afternoons as thundershowers and cool, sunny but dry winter months with temperatures dropping considerably in the evenings.
