Da Gama Park

Da Gama Park is a residential neighbourhood in the southern suburbs of the City of Cape Town, situated near Fish Hoek and Simon’s Town on the False Bay coastline. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the surrounding mountains, the area offers a peaceful suburban atmosphere with easy access to some of the Cape Peninsula’s most scenic coastal attractions. Its location makes it a convenient base for visitors wanting to explore beaches, nature reserves and the rich maritime heritage of the region.

The nearby False Bay coastline provides a wealth of experiences, from swimming and water sports at Fish Hoek Beach to exploring the historic naval village of Simon’s Town. Visitors can discover the famous African penguin colony at Boulders Beach, enjoy scenic coastal drives or explore the hiking trails of Table Mountain National Park, including the spectacular landscapes around Cape Point. The nearby Silvermine Nature Reserve also offers walking trails, mountain views and opportunities for birdwatching.

Named after Portuguese explorer Pedro da Gama, the suburb reflects the strong maritime connections associated with the Cape’s coastline. Today, Da Gama Park combines suburban convenience with access to some of the Western Cape’s most iconic attractions, offering visitors a gateway to beaches, wildlife, history and unforgettable mountain scenery.
