A spacious 4 bedroom house that offers luxury accommodation for up to 8 guests. With the entertainment area upstairs and bedrooms downstairs, it allows those who prefer early nights to rest in peace whilst others enjoy later evenings. We are opposite the Langebaan Country Estate driving range and no buildings for 300m + in front of the house. Two fully equipped kitchens, indoor fire place, living room and a balcony with a gorgeous view of Langebaan and its sunsets, makes Steenbokkie Guest House  a must !!

Accommodation:

Steenbokkie Guest House is unique in its location, design and top end finishing. It was built for  the purpose of being a  "Holiday House" and not a home, converted into holiday accommodation. Nestled safely in the heart of the Langebaan Country Estate (LCE) on the West Coast of South Africa.

The design and layout of the cottage is one where the effect of open space and relaxation is immediately apparent on arrival.

It offers stunning views of the Langebaan Country Estate (LCE), the Lagoon and some of the best sunsets in the world. Even the kitchen has an amazing panoramic view. You thus have amazing sunrises and sunsets from the main entertainment area. Steenbokkie offers a great hub from which to explore Langebaan and everything it has to offer. Ranging from stunning views, wild life all the way to extreme sports and thrilling adventures for the whole family. 

The four downstairs bedrooms are not underneath the upstairs area so no disturbances  for those who might want to take an early night.

It offers 24hr armed security within the LCE and one of the safest destination currently in South Africa.

With its four bedrooms it accommodates eight guests in comfort and luxury. (Two rooms with extra length queen size beds and two rooms with two 3/4 beds. All rooms have their own en-suite facilities).

We have a downstairs kitchen area with a small courtyard. The main living area is a large (850 sq feet) open plan area that just soothes the soul after a long day out on the beach or water. 

Our indoor Braai (BBQ) allows for all year, any weather, utilization. With the open plan lay-out, meals are enjoyed on a large and spacious dining table that reminds one of times gone by...

We truly believe that Steenbokkie Guest House  offers some of the best value for money accommodation in the country. We manage our own property and do not involve any 3rd party services. This is one of the key reason why we are a cut above the rest.  

Location

Known as the Jewel of the West Coast, Langebaan enjoys almost year-round sunshine and boasts azure waters and unsurpassed natural beauty. The charm of its fishing villages, and close proximity to Cape Town make for an idyllic getaway. This town is just off the R27, next to the picturesque Langebaan Lagoon. The popular town of Langebaan is just over 100 km from Cape Town on the West Coast off the R27 next to Langebaan Lagoon. The white Caribbean like Beaches surrounding the crystal clear waters of the Langebaan Lagoon are one of the main attractions of Langebaan.

Langebaan is well known as it is the ornithological capital of South Africa, has recorded the largest oyster shell deposits in the world and enjoys a moderate climate with cool air and long sunlit days. In winter it is never very cold and the long summer days are never unbearably hot.

Cycling In Langebaan
There is a 15km MTB  track within the Langebaan Country Estate. It is a fun and easy track suitable for the whole family. The West coast National Park also offers scenic Bicycle routes and only 10 minutes drive from the LCE. Bring your own bike or rent from Cycleworx in Langebaan. They offer great service, and have skilled technicians to assist with any problems you might have with your Bike.

West Coast Fossil Park In Langebaan
The deeply buried fossil deposits were uncovered during phosphate mining in the Langebaanweg area. The mining started in 1943, initially at Baard’s Quarry on Langeberg Farm, close to where the airforce training base is today. Here solid phosphate rock was mined for fertilizer and it is thought that many tons of fossils were crushed up along with the rock before scientists were made aware of their existence.

West Coast National Park
The initial purpose of the park area was to protect the key conservation areas of the Langebaan Lagoon and associated wetlands as well as the offshore islands in Saldanha Bay. The management focus has since broadened to include the terrestrial surroundings as representative sites of the ecosystem of the West Coast Region.
