St Francis Bay is a beautiful little holiday village, situated about an hours drive from Port Elizabeth, at the start of the Garden Route. Home to the famous Bruce's Beauties, seen in the movie "The Endless Summer".
St Francis Bay Backpackers is centrally located in the village of St Francis Bay. Within very close proximity to shops, restaurants, pubs, beaches and surf spots. SFB Backpackers offer ensuite dorms and a private double ensuite room for those wanting some privacy. All the rooms are all situated on the first floor.

Enjoy an unforgettable experience at Oyster Bay Lodge while exploring the Coastal Reserve on horseback and have a gallop or trot along the 3,5 kilometer private beach next to the waves of the Indian Ocean. This activity always goes out with an experienced guide/s and various horses are offered, which are even suitable for the “first-timers”.
Hulett's - Seal Point - Bruce's Beauties - Main Beach - these are just a few to mention.

If you happen to be at St Francis Bay Backpackers on the last Saturday of the month, you will experience our very special community craft and food market with a feel good atmosphere offering crafts and foods made by very talented stall holders.
Cape St Francis
Cape St Francis has the atmosphere of a fishing village, offering a magical beach, awesome surf spots (Seal Point), great fishing and scenic sunset walks on the wild side. You will also find the Penguin Rehabilitation Centre and Lighthouse (1876).
A scenic hike along the coast from St Francis Bay will take you to the beautiful Cape St Francis.
The Wild Side, as locals call the unspoiled beauty of the rocky coastline to the west of Cape St Francis is definitely worth a visit, not to forget the breathtaking Sunset Rock. There are many foot paths that you can follow at your own leisure.
St Francis Bay Canals
St Francis Bay is home to a man-made canal system, a project, founder Leighton Hulett started in 1967. The marine was developed in stages, the last stage completed at the turn of the century by Leighton’s son, Nevil.
