Newlands Pretoria is a lovely suburb in Gauteng and is within walking distance of the malls which is convenient for visitors who want to enjoy the freedom of the rush of the busy city lifestyle.

Attractions:
The Pioneer Museum in Silverton is an interesting to spend time while visiting Newlands where you will experience the lifestyle of the farmers in the 1800's. You will see how they ground their own wheat, baked bread, made candles, roasted coffee and you may try your hand at milking. The sand-stone Union Building is well known in South Africa for its two wings of the building which symbolises the unity of the two cultures achieved since the Anglo Boer War. It is not open to the public but is admired by visitors from the beautiful surrounding gardens. Another interesting attraction in Pretoria is the Melrose House Museum, a beautiful Victorian Style home with stained glass windows which was where the peace treaty was signed on 31 May 1902 which ended the war. There is a tea garden where you can relax and enjoy the tranquility of the area. The South African State Theatre has something for the whole family to enjoy and boasts 5 theatres where many shows are held such as ballets, cabarets, dramas and childrens theatre.

Newlands Pretoria enjoys a moderate climate with warm to hot summer days with most rainfall as thunderstorms and cool to very cold winter months.
