Gleemoor

Gleemoor is a welcoming residential suburb in the southern part of the City of Cape Town, situated near Athlone, Rylands and Crawford. Known for its close-knit community and convenient location, the suburb offers visitors a comfortable base from which to explore many of Cape Town's cultural, historical and natural attractions. With excellent access to major roads, Gleemoor provides easy connections to the city centre, the False Bay coastline and the picturesque southern suburbs.

The neighbourhood is well positioned for discovering some of Cape Town's most significant landmarks. The nearby District Six Museum offers a moving insight into the area's social history and the impact of forced removals during apartheid. Sports enthusiasts can visit Athlone Stadium, an important venue that has hosted major football matches and community events for decades. A short drive also leads to the Constantia Wine Route, where historic wine estates combine centuries of heritage with award-winning wines and beautiful vineyard settings. Cape Town's iconic attractions, including Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront, are easily accessible from the suburb.

Gleemoor developed as Cape Town expanded during the mid-20th century, becoming part of the city's diverse southern suburbs. Today, it reflects the rich cultural heritage that defines the area while offering visitors convenient access to history, entertainment and the many attractions that make Cape Town one of South Africa's most captivating destinations.
