Parow is in the northern suburbs of Cape Town, approximately 12 km from Cape Town's CBD and within easy reach of the N1 and N7 motorways.
Golfing enthusiasts have access to the Parow golf course, originally founded in 1929, with its abundant bird life, well maintained greens, and numerous palm, blue gum and minetokka trees. The 24-hectare Tygerberg Zoo, further along the N1, is the only zoo in the Western Cape province and specialises in rare and endangered wildlife.
Other easy day trips from Parow include the picturesque wine routes of Durbanville, Paarl, Stellenbosch, and Franschoek. The Grand West Casino is very close to Parow, as are the V&A Waterfront and Cape Town's city centre. Parow is also ideally placed for family fun, within a few minutes of Century City and Ratanga Junction, now open again.
