Loevenstein

Loevenstein is essentially a suburb of Belville, in Cape Town. About 25 km to the north of Cape Town, Loevenstein is perfectly situated to explore Stellenbosch, Paarl and the winelands. It is also close to the business districts of Tygerberg and Parow and has quick access to the N1. From Loevenstein you can easily get to Cape Town’s beaches and the proximity of the city’s attractions and Belville’s golf course are added benefits to staying here.

The Durbanville Wine Route, with nine estates of top-quality wines, is close to Loevenstein and easy to explore in a day. The scenery on the wine route is spectacular with picture-postcard views of Table Mountain from a number of different aspects. The Sanlam Art Gallery, in Belville, is also worth a visit. Their art collection is one of the largest corporate collections of local art. The Belville golf course is close by and for nature lovers; the Tygerberg Nature reserve includes a 7.5 km hike.
