Kestell Accommodation

The village was established in 1905 and named after Reverend John Daniel Kestell, a prominent Dutch Reformed minister and influential figure in Free State history. Kestell was also involved in the South African War, serving as a chaplain to Boer forces, and later became Moderator of the Dutch Reformed Church. His association gives the village a notable place in the province's history.

Kestell is surrounded by productive farmland, with sheep, cattle and crops contributing to the local economy.
