The area is a nature lovers paradise and it is just as popular amongst fishermen and surfers.

This annual event, which occurs between the months of June to November and sometimes into December, attracts many visitors and the sites are spectacular. This is definitely something worth seeing. Get away from the busy city lifestyle and enjoy the sound of the waves while watching whales frolicking in the sea. There are a number of camping sites and chalets in the area if you are wanting to spend more than one day. Charter boats are also available in the area by appointment. There is so much to see and enjoy at this seaside settlement.
Infanta is situated in the Western Cape which generally enjoys a Mediterranean climate. (although this varies in some parts of the Western Cape) The summer months are warm to hot and dry and the winter months are cool and wet with temperatures dropping considerable in the evenings.
