Grassy Park

Grassy Park is a diverse and vibrant suburb in Cape Town's southern suburbs, ideally situated between the city centre, the False Bay coastline and the scenic Constantia Valley. Known for its multicultural community and convenient location, the suburb offers visitors an excellent base for exploring many of Cape Town's natural, historical and recreational attractions while experiencing an authentic slice of everyday life in the Mother City.

One of Grassy Park's greatest assets is its proximity to the Rondevlei and Zeekoevlei sections of the False Bay Nature Reserve. These protected wetlands are a haven for birdwatchers, with more than 250 bird species recorded, while Zeekoevlei is also popular for sailing, kayaking and fishing. Nature enthusiasts may even spot hippos at Rondevlei Nature Reserve, one of the few places in the Cape where these impressive animals can be seen in the wild. The nearby Muizenberg beachfront, with its colourful Victorian bathing boxes and excellent surfing conditions, is only a short drive away, while the Constantia Wine Route offers historic estates and award-winning wines.

Grassy Park developed significantly during the mid-20th century and today reflects Cape Town's rich cultural diversity. Combining easy access to wetlands, beaches, vineyards and the city's southern attractions, it provides visitors with a rewarding and well-connected destination.
