Milkwood Cottage is a relaxing self-catering home tucked away in a quiet green valley in the seaside village of Hersham, Great Brak River, Western Cape and is close enough for trips to many of the pristine beaches and other attractions the beautiful Garden Route has to offer.

The spacious Milkwood Cottage comprises 4 bedrooms, 3 en-suite bathrooms and sleeps 8 comfortably. The cottage nestles amongst native trees and the lush garden provides welcoming privacy. Enjoy swimming, fishing, bird watching or just breathe in the fresh wild air- here is nothing but nature around you.

Milkwood Cottage is an ideal spot for short breaks as well as longer holidays and is a mere 15-minute drive away from the George Airport.

ACCOMMODATION
The cottage comprises of a spacious open plan lounge/kitchen, four double bedrooms, with three en-suite bathrooms. The fourth bedroom is separately located (outside entrance downstairs), with its own bathroom.

The fully equipped kitchen features a 4-plate gas hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer, as well as all necessary cutlery/crockery for a convenient stay. The living area offers comfortable seating, open fireplace, television (DSTV) and DVD player. French doors open onto the sun deck with barbecue facility. Guests can barbecue on the deck or follow a secluded path in the garden to discover the lapa. The lapa is sheltered by trees and is equipped with an open fireplace and a weber. Definitely a place where families can truly bond and friends can be made!

Additionally the garden boasts an outside shower, a trampoline, swings and a big sandpit that will keep the children entertained while you relax on the deck.

Bath towels and linen are provided, but please bring your own beach towels.

Heated blankets and the fireplace in the lounge make the cottage a welcoming getaway during winter months as well! South African mild winters are made for long walks on the beach, whale watching and exploring all beautiful towns the Garden Route has to offer.

SWIMMING
A ten-minute walk from the cottage will take you to the pristine Hersham beach. Enjoy nature at its best while swimming or fishing in these picturesque surroundings. A short drive away is the Great Brak Lagoon, a very popular picnic destination and ideal for children with its safe, calm waters.

FISHING
One of the reasons the Garden Route is such a popular fishing destination is because of its vast variety of fish the area has to offer. Hersham beach and surrounding lagoons provide both estuary and surf fishing where a variety of fish can be caught from Blacktail to Muscle Cracker.

GOLF
Down the road from Milkwood Cottage is the Dolphin Creek Golf Course, which is perfect for a relaxing round of golf. There are countless world-class golf courses to explore in the Garden Route - Fancourt (George), Pinnacle Point (Mossel Bay) and Simola (Knysna) to name but a few.

Milkwood Cottage is situated in Hersham - which is midway between Mossel Bay and George.
A convenient five minute drive takes you to the village of Great Brak. The town offers all amenities including supermarkets, a pharmacy, doctors, a library, churches, laundromats, restaurants and coffee shops.
A 15-minute drive takes you to the George Airport.
