The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, named after Queen Victoria and her second son Alfred, is set right in the heart of Cape Town's harbour between Robben Island and Table Mountain against one of the most awe-inspiring backdrops in the world. The V&A Waterfront attracts some 20 million annual visitors and includes shops, restaurants, coffee-shops, seven hotels, an aquarium, cinemas, art and craft markets, office space, a Maritime Museum and a luxury residential marina.

From the V&A Waterfront you can take aerial trips around Table Bay, boat trips around the harbour and there are a number of pleasure cruises, yacht charters and other boat trips, including the trip to Robben Island. From the Waterfront one can easily explore the city centre on foot and attractions such as bohemian Long Street with its second hand book stores and coffee shops, St George's Mall, the National Art Gallery and tea at the Mount Nelson, for a taste of the colonial, are all within easy reach.
