The Cape Town Pride Festival is held in Cape Town, one of the most beautiful cities in South Africa. The Festival is an annual event which takes place during the months of February and March. It is a celebration and brings awareness around issues that impact on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and inter-sex communities throughout South Africa. The Cape Town Pride Festival started in 2001 and has grown bigger and better each year since. It is a very popular event and well organised, attracting gay tourism to the festival and the city. The festival will take place between the 24th February 2012 to 4th March 2012.
Mark this event on your calendar, there is so much to see and enjoy. Some of the exciting events include, the very popular float parade, The Pride Film Premiere, workshops, Red Party, Pride Pageants, Sunset Beach Picnic, The Pink Ball and much much more. The festivities are non stop and full of fun, laughter and great entertainment.
