Groenfontein Farm is situated between Philadelphia and Malmesbury in the Swartland, at the foot of the Klein Dassenberg. The farm is within 20 minutes drive of Melkbosstrand and 45 minutes from Cape Town and Cape Town International Airport.The main dwelling dates back to the late 1800's.

Groenfontein Farm offers you privacy, peace and quiet with a large variety of birds and small wildlife, ideal for the perfect getaway or holiday for couples, families or friends or just as a convenient base for a visit to a variety of interesting places, e.g. Winelands in the area, Durbanville, Darling, Riebeek West, Cape Town, and viewing of the Namakwaland Flowers etc. It is a working farm with lime trees, almond and olive trees, a small vineyard still in the making, as well as a herd of Nguni cattle.

Accommodation consists of a double storey house with 3 bedrooms, all king sized beds and two full bathrooms. A fully equipped kitchen with stove/oven fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and microwave adds ease to the farm style atmosphere.

The dining room forms part of an open plan area with an eight- seater dining room table. The lounge has an enormous fireplace, for with fire wood is provided at no additional cost. The house also has braai facilities and 2 plasma screens with a full DSTV Bouquet to add to your comfortable stay.

The swimming pool is heated and forms part of a lovely secluded garden. The pool is covered and fenced for safety. All bedrooms are air-conditioned. A baby cot is provided and the house is serviced.

Spectacular views of the Paardeberg Mountain, the Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Table Mountains can be admired from the substantial verandah outside the house.
