The Beach House

This self-catering home is situated on a beautiful sandy beach on the edge of the warm Indian Ocean and will appeal to anyone looking for sun, surf and sand. Enjoy a braai on the patio while listening to the waves crashing less than 60 meters away. A private path cut through the lush foliage leads you directly onto an endless beach. Umzumbe is known for excellent fishing and also has a Blue flag beach for swimming or surfing

The house is a large clean and comfortable open plan property which sleeps up to 8 people. Glass patio doors open directly onto a large covered patio which overlooks the sea and a private garden. There is a large open plan kitchen with basic pots, pans, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery supplied

With the beach only a stones throw away you can make the most of swimming, fishing or just relaxing and catching a suntan. Anglers can stand knee-deep in the shore-break for hours on end, casting lines after some of the most varied and abundant scaled trophies to be hooked anywhere.

For scuba divers, a world-class site presents a series of reefs to test the mettle and endurance of even the most experienced underwater fanatic. A short distance inland you can find white-water rafting, rock-climbing, mountain biking and one of the world's highest abseil and cable-slide locations.

Golfers can enjoy two of South Africa's top ten golf courses among the Hibiscus Coast's choice of seven - all presenting varied levels of difficulty, but similar in terms of beautiful locations and breathtaking outlooks

    To confirm the booking, we require a 50% deposit. Balance due 7 days before arrival
  • Rules/Conditions
    The maximum number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the confirmation. The residence is rented to the booking guest for the number of guests booked in for the renting period and any major functions or parties that are not previously confirmed with the owners are not allowed without written consent and non-compliance will result in either an immediate eviction or an extra R350 per person levied. All guests are required to consider our neighbours in relation to loud music and excessive noise after 1:00am on Friday and Saturday - 10:00pm Sunday to Thursday. Guests are reminded that linen (pillow cases and sheets) must be used on all beds. A minimum R250 cleaning charge applies if the residence is left in an unclean/untidy manner, including: if the hotplates, grill and oven are left in an unclean condition; pots and pans not cleaned; unclean utensils or crockery found in cupboards; if the BBQ's require excessive cleaning; if the residence is left in an unclean/untidy state. Use of internal kitchen pots and pans on the BBQs is prohibited as it damages them beyond cleaning. An outside shower has been supplied to assist when returning from the beach, after swimming. Sand will block the indoor plumbing pipes, so it is essential that all sand is washed off before entry to either level of the property. Umzumbe Beach House takes no responsibility for the security or loss of any guest's personal property.
