De Duin

De Duin is a peaceful residential neighbourhood near Milnerton in the northern suburbs of the City of Cape Town. Located close to the Atlantic coastline, the area offers visitors convenient access to beaches, wetlands and some of the most iconic views of Table Mountain. With its relaxed suburban atmosphere and proximity to major routes, De Duin provides a comfortable base for exploring Cape Town’s coastal attractions and surrounding natural landscapes.

The nearby Milnerton Lagoon and Rietvlei Wetland Reserve are highlights for nature enthusiasts, offering opportunities for birdwatching, canoeing, fishing and scenic walks among important coastal ecosystems. Milnerton Beach is well known for its expansive sandy shoreline and spectacular sunsets, with Table Mountain forming a dramatic backdrop across Table Bay. The nearby Intaka Island Nature Reserve at Century City provides another urban conservation haven, with walking trails, bird hides and a chance to discover indigenous flora and fauna.

The Milnerton area has a long connection with Cape Town’s coastal development and leisure culture, with its golf course, beaches and lagoon helping shape its character over many decades. Today, De Duin combines suburban tranquillity with easy access to beaches, nature reserves, shopping and the many attractions of the Mother City.
