Fernkloof Nature Reserve, located in Hermanus on the Whale Coast of South Africa, is a biodiverse paradise encompassing over 1,800 hectares of pristine fynbos vegetation. Established in 1957, the reserve is renowned for its rich floral diversity, with over 1,800 species of plants, including many rare and endemic varieties. Its name, "Fernkloof," derives from the numerous ferns that thrive in the shaded kloofs (ravines) within the reserve, adding to its botanical allure.
