Fishing, Swimming and Boating
The River in front of the container house is very shallow and quite deep in
various areas. Some areas are knee deep and other area are 3m deep. For this
reason, one cannot use Motor boats on this stretch of the River. It is
reasonably safe to swim in the river as it is relatively shallow. If the River
level is higher than normal and therefore flowing quite fast, it is advisable to
remain out of the water. Fast flowing water is extremely dangerous. There are a
number of canoes with Oars which can be used. Please supply your own life
jackets. There are 8 big tubes which can be used on the River.
The fishing in this area is very good. Many large Carp, Barbel and Yellow Fish
are caught on a regular basis. We encourage catch and release.
