MiniVillas offers beachfront, self-catering, holiday accommodation with direct beach access, set in beautiful spacious grounds giving panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. The central beach has lifeguards and a shark protected swimming area. This is an owner managed business where we pride ourselves on personal service with a genuine concern that our guests will feel welcome and wish to return.

Blythedale is just 43kms north of King Shaka International Airport and 68kms from Durban.

Here is a location where you can relax in natural surroundings next to the sea, sunbathe around the large sparkling swimming pool or explore the many places of interest and varied activities on offer in the area.

Blythedale has an amazing beach that stretches from the Umvoti lagoon area to our south to the Mdlotan lagoon below Princes Grant golf estate to the north. Blythedale is one of the few remaining villages along the KZN North Coast that has been unspoiled by dense beachfront development and the natural coastal vegetation remains virtually intact and seawater unpolluted. Fishermen, surfers, jet-skiers, birdwatchers and lovers of nature seek out this unique area. Subtropical warm and sunny winters are the time when we experience the whale migration north towards Mocambique and can see large numbers of humpback whales breaching, a sight never to be forgotten. In winter time brilliant aloes bloom above the dunes. Bottlenose dolphins are year-round visitors delighting everyone with their exuberant and graceful performances. On an early morning walk towards the Umvoti Mouth, you may be lucky to witness the thrilling sight of the skilled commercial fishing ski boats launching through the waves or at the end of the day returning with their catch.
