| WELCOME to Kingfisher’s Nest, dear guest! Our top priority is that you enjoy your stay, so please contact us immediately if you have any problems of any kind, we will be happy to help you! Here are our few rules – please stick to them? Thank you!!! 1. Check-in is from 14:00pm or as booked, and check-out is 10:00am. 2. Feel free to enjoy the free coffee, tea, sugar, milk and rusks in the kitchen. 3. NO SMOKING inside the house – and IF you smoke outside, please throw your cigarette butts in the sandpits. 4. Feel free to use the fireplace in the lounge – nothing like a good, warm fire to warm your body and heart! But NO FOOD may be braaied in this fireplace. There is a braai area on the covered stoep for this. 5. Unfortunately NO pets allowed. 6. Waste/trash removal is scheduled for Friday mornings. Please place full black bags outside the kitchen door. We will collect black bags from outside the kitchen, before or on Friday mornings. 7. The towels provided are for showering, bathing and INDOOR use only and strictly NOT for swimming or outdoor use. 8. NO EATING AND DRINK IN THE BEDROOMS – stained linen and/or carpets will incur additional charges!!! 9. If you are travelling for a longer stay – more than 5 nights – the house will be cleaned once a week and towels will be changed every 3 days (and linen as required), or as otherwise booked – free of charge. 10. Any additional cleaning you require can be arranged at R350 per day. 12. Please wash dishes before you leave – if dishes are not cleaned, a cleaning fee of R300-00 will be charged. Remember there is a dishwasher! 13. If the oven is used for braai and not cleaned by yourself – please note that an additional R100-00 will be charged for cleaning the oven. 14. If you do not have time to wash the dishes or clean the oven, please leave a note and the amount of the cleaning fee on the counter, i.e. R450.00. 15. A fire extinguisher is at the main entrance for your safety in case of any fire. Please contact us without delay in case of fire! 16. PLEASE AVOID LOUD NOISE AND PARTIES AFTER 22:30. We do not ask that guests be completely quiet, but PLEASE – keep all noise to a minimum after 22:30. We appreciate your understanding in this! 17. No excessive alcohol consumption will be tolerated. 18. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for any theft, break-ins or stolen goods from any guest, so please ensure that valuables are stored away. There is a lockable cupboard in the front bedroom. 19. Where no breakage deposit is paid, we rely on your honesty – please notify us of any breakages and please pay or replace item(s) before or upon departure. 20. PLEASE BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL ON ALL TILES, they can be SLIPPERY when wet. Also on all loose rugs or carpets. 21. OUR WATER IS PRECIOUS – SO PLEASE USE WATER WITH CARE 22. Please turn off all lights after use. 23. We will do our best to meet your needs during “load shedding”. We have a solar heater for the geyser, but if there is no sun and at the same time a load shedding, the water may not be as hot as desired. We will then switch to electricity when the Eskom power is on. 24. We also use a battery system for lights in the main areas during load shedding. The Wi-Fi and TV as well as lights will be on. Unfortunately the electric kettle, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, etc., will not work. We do have a gas stove for cooking at all times. Please use the blue stainless steel kettle on the gas stove for hot drinks. 25. NO GUESTS are allowed without the owners' permission, and NO PARTIES ARE ALLOWED. 26. Please do not give the dog (Max) any treats, such as barbecue or anything else. We do not want him to receive food from anyone other than us, due to the risk of getting food with poison in it from bad guys. ENJOY YOUR STAY!! |
