The cottage accommodates two people and is at 27 Green Lane in Umzumbe on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast. It is a quaint very well maintained village that has a blue flag beach with lifeguards year round.
The cottage is built on an acre hillside stand and has a large garden with mature indigenous trees, it has panoramic sea views due to it’s elevation and location.
The cottage is well maintained and comprises of a large bedroom with en suite bathroom, kitchen, dining room and lounge with covered patio outside. There is a great sea view from the bedroom and patio.
The kitchen is well equipped and has a fridge, stove and oven, microwave, kettle and toaster. Crockery and cluttery are provided.
The lounge has a Wi-Fi hotspot and flat screen TV, and an Explora DStv decoder is installed.
There is a Webber braai on the patio and table and chairs for your outdoor entertainment.
The home is a few minutes’ walk from a pristine secluded beach that has excellent fishing and large rock pools to swim in. The main swimming beach with ablutions and tidal pool are nearby.
There are several restaurants and seven exquisite golf courses within easy driving distance. Activities such as hiking, deep sea fishing, leisure boat trips, dolphin and whale watching, reef and shark diving are all nearby.
Inland nature is also superb and you can visit Oribi Gorge and Croc World nearby.
For the extreme sport enthusiasts you can cruise the shoreline by microlight, tandem jump, zip line, windsurf, kitesurf, wing foil or surf the notorious Umzumbe point break where the waves peel off along Stiebel Rock.
The property is secure and you have a garage with automated door to park your car out the sun.
Small breed dogs are welcome by prior arrangement, but are not permitted to sit or lie on the couches or beds for the sake of our other guests. We provide linen, pillows and bath towels, but please bring your own Beach towels.
Umzumbe is a hidden gem and we are sure that you will enjoy your stay with us.
50% refund if cancellation is made 4 weeks before your arrival.
25% refund if cancellation is made 3 week before your arrival.
10% refund if cancellation is made 2 weeks before your arrival.
* We need earlier warning if booking is cancelled during high season, so add 2 weeks onto notice period if this applies.
Arrival & Departure Times
Check-in from 2pm onwards.
Departure by 10am during High Season or if we have other guests arriving on the same day.
Departure by 11am during Mid or Low Season.
* Let us know if you plan on arriving earlier or leaving later and we will try accommodate you if possible.
Terms Of Payment
We require a 50% deposit to confirm booking.
Balance must be paid 7 days before arrival.
The maximum number of guests may not exceed the number stated when confirming your booking.
No large gatherings, parties or functions are permitted on the property without our written consent; non-compliance will result in immediate eviction or a R350 levy per person.
Please be considerate of our neighbours and do not play loud music or make excessive noise after 11pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10pm the rest of the week.
Pillow cases and sheets must be used on all beds at all times.
A minimum of R450 cleaning fee will apply if the residence is left in a poor state such as mess in the oven, microwave or on hotplates; dirty cutlery/crockery found in the cupboards; braai requires excessive cleaning. The kitchen pots and pans may NOT be used on the braai.
Damage to the appliances, pillows, linen, towels, beds, floors, walls, etc. will be for your account.
Pets are not allowed on the couches or beds.
Please make use of the outside shower before entering the house or swimming pool when returning from the beach.
We are not responsible for security or loss of any personal property.
