The Mayibuye Centre
The Mayibuye Centre is situated at the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town and consists of a large collection of history in the form of photographs, letters, and many items that tell the story of the freedom struggle that was fought by South Africans during the Apartheid era.
Mayibuye is a phrase which means ‘let it return’.
The centre is open to public by appointment only during Mondays to Fridays between 10:00am and 3:30pm.
