Situated 25 km from provincial capital Inhambane with International Airport and 480 km north of Mozambique capital Maputo. Access by road is a pleasant drive on tarred road except for the last 18 km on a dirt road through coconut and cashew nut groves, which is suitable most of the year for the passage of an ordinary vehicle. By air there are daily or weekly planes from Maputo, Johannesburg, Capt Town and Nelspruit.
