The Beach House Lodge is positioned directly on the secluded Salt Rock Beach.
It has 4 very spacious and luxurious bedrooms all en suite and some have their
private TV lounge. All rooms have incredible sea views ! The Beach House sleeps
only 8 guests and offers absolute luxury and privacy. A magnificent wooden pool
deck runs the entire width of the lodge and over looks the sea. There is ample
outdoor furniture for lounging and soaking up the sun while you watch the
dolphins play. During the winter months the whales are spotted regularly right
in front of the lodge and can be seen from every room in the house. There are 2
tidal pools for calm leisurely swims which are perfect for small children. The
beach directly in front of the lodge offers excellent fishing and has perfect
conditions for paddle-skiing, kite boarding, swimming and surfing. It is
protected by shark nets and the main beach (200m to the South) has professional
life guards on duty.
Because of its unique and breathtaking situation, The Beach House has proved to
be a popular venue for photo shoots for brides and TV commercials alike.
The Salt Rock Hotel next door on the South side of the lodge offers a casual
buffet and fantastic carvery and are famous for their delicious traditional
Durban curries and excellent fresh fish and chips. Next door on the North side
is The Canelands Boutique Hotel with yet another superb restaurant. There are 4
excellent restaurants within walking distance from the lodge.
Every room has a DSTV TV which has the following channels :SABC123, MNET, MM1,
MM2 and Sport channels. If you choose to socialise while watching TV, the lounge
area downstairs has a large LED TV. There is 24 hr security , 3 lock up garages
and secure parking for another 4 cars. The Beach House is 15km from the new King
Shaka Airport and shuttles can be arranged on request. Ballito is 5 mins away
with 3 wonderful shopping malls and many restaurants.
