ZenZulu was built by a US couple who welcome guests to their private 'home' in the bush when not using it. Your party of up to 8 people will have sole use of the lodge, its staff, game drive vehicle and facilities. You will enjoy the luxury of setting the rhythm of activities during your stay, with dedicated staff to ensure that you are well looked after. We need at least 4 paying adults for the exclusive use of the lodge.
Our dedicated staff which includes a top class ranger and hospitality staff, will ensure that your party is well looked after. We have a chef and stays include 3 meals a day.
We are a member of the 22,000 hectare Big 5 Zululand Rhino Reserve, less than 3-hours from Durban. Rhino are especially plentiful and you may see Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Nyala, Zebra, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Duiker, Impala, Warthog, Kudu, Reedbuck, and Buffalo. Leopard and Caracal are common to the area but elusive. Our camp is unfenced from the wild and Nyala, Impala and Warthog are frequently seen walking within our complex.
The Lodge itself sits in a Fever tree forest, beside a dam which ensures that you will be in the thick of a wildlife experience even when sitting quietly with your morning coffee on the deck. Our plunge pool means that the crocs are not the only ones with a license to stay cool during the summer.
Our camp is small and exclusive. There are 3 en-suite double bedroom units with ceiling fans. A third bed can be added to accommodate a child or friend. Each unit has a second, alfresco bathroom in a private, screened garden courtyard for those guests wishing to bathe under the African sky.
In additional there are 2 sleeper-couches in the main lodge building with access to a full bathroom.
A neighbouring lodge offers an "Elephant Experience" which allows you to meet two of the reserve's approachable elephants. This program has an additional charge and must be pre-booked.
We have a unique tree house high in a Tamboti tree at one of the dams. It is the perfect venue for photography and sundowners.
We have a Jacuzzi and wireless internet
