Self Catering House, Cottage, Chalet Accommodation In Swellendam

Wildebraam offers severa lovely units on a youngberry farm in Swellendam. Nestled in the Hermitage Valley, 2 km from Swellendam, all the units enjoy stunning views of the Langeberg Mountains and guests will revel in the tranquil country atmosphere. All units are fully equipped with towels and linen provided. Games and books are also provided.
A minimum 2- night stay over weekends is preferred when booking the larger cottages.
Wildebraam is renowned for its liqueurs and deli range produced on site and all guests are welcome to join us for tastings in our cellar Mon-Sat. In addition, Wildebraam has a conference/function venue which can host up to 64 people and both corporate and private functions are very popular.

ACTIVITIES: Liqueur & deli tasting at Wildebraam Cellar, horse riding by own appointment with DEE HAZELL (please enquire), birding, hiking in surrounds or in Marloth Nature Reserve (1.5km), mountain biking and berry picking (in season). A 9-hole golf course is 1.5km away and various sport clubs are in Swellendam. Little ones (and older ones!) will love Sulina's Fairy Sanctuary and Swellendam also has several art galleries and local potters and artists. Well worth visits could include the local Drostdy museum, Bontebok National Park, De Hoop Nature Reserve, Robertson Wine Route-just to mention a few. There are also lovely day trips into the countryside including Barrydale, Montagu, Robertson, Malgas and Arniston.
BUT, most of all, lots of RELAXING!! Wine tasting and country meandering are the order of the day.

BLUEBERRY AND CRANBERRY (NOT star graded or freestanding)
Blueberry / Cranberry apartments are luxurious, classic country style apartments on the second floor of cellar overlooking the berry fields. Situated on a working youngberry farm, 2km for centre of town, lazy days are guaranteed with lovely views off the Langeberg Mountains and the adjoining horse paddocks. Spacious open plan apartments accommodate up to 4 guests in combinations of 4 singles / 2 doubles / 1 double + 2 singles, ideal for couples with young children, families or single travellers. Comfortably equipped and furnished with all bedding & towels, complete with DSTV and air-conditioning and a cosy inside fire-place for the winter - complimentary first bag of wood. Modern bathroom has an en-suite bath/shower/toilet. The kitchen is equipped with microwave, oven/stove, kettle, toaster, and bar fridge. Large veranda with undercover braai facilities. Pet-friendly on request.

Directions from TOWN CENTRAL: Out of the main street of Swellendam (at the OK & Central Delta 4 way stop) turn up Andrew Whyte Street in the direction of the mountain. Continue straight up the hill, pass the squash courts and golf course on your left and continue down the hill. At the bottom of the hill, turn to your left at the "WILDEBRAAM BERRY ESTATE" sign. Continue straight until you see the entrance to Wildebraam Berry Estate on your right (entrance S4). Drive past the main house and cottage on your right and proceed 100m further to the cellar. During office hours (close 5.00pm) the key can be collected from the cellar or after hours from the Wildebraam main house (Natalie cell 0823802080).

Directions from N2 CAPE TOWN (34 01' 06.82" S and 20 25'16.46" E):
As you approach Swellendam turn left onto the R60 in the direction of Ashton/Worcester. When you get to the 4 stop continue straight over and continue for approx. 1.5km. Turn right at the Hermitage/Wildebraam sign and travel 100m. Take your first left onto a dirt road (Hermitage/Wildebraam signs) and continue straight for +-400m. Wildebraam entrance (S4) is on your left. Drive past the main house and cottage on your right and proceed 100m further to the cellar. During office hours (close 5.00pm) the key can be collected from the cellar or after hours from the Wildebraam main house (Natalie cell 0823802080).

Directions from N1 WORCESTER/ASHTON/SWELLENDAM: (34 01' 06.82" S and 20
25'16.46" E):

As you approach Swellendam on the R60 from Ashton you get Keurbomen Lodge & Cheese Shop on your left. A short distance past these buildings, turn left off the R60 at the Hermitage sign and travel 100m. Take your first left onto a dirt road (Hermitage signs) and continue straight for +-400m. Wildebraam entrance (S4) is on your left. Drive past the main house and cottage on your right and proceed 100m to the cellar. During office hours (close 5.00pm) the key can be collected from the cellar or after hours from the house (Natalie cell 0823802080).
