Magoebaskloof

Magoebaskloof is a region of Limpopo Province of pristine natural beauty. Situated at the foot of the northern tip of the Drakensberg range of mountains, this is a region of mountain peaks, crystal clear waterfalls and silent lakes set amidst beautiful indigenous forests. Here you can be lucky enough to witness the rare Samango Monkey that lives in this habitat. Magoebaskloof is an area where the visitor can see masses of breathtaking indigenous flowers and colourful fungi set in an area of natural forest and man made plantations.

Each September there is the Magoebaskloof Spring Festival where you can visit the local art and craft market with stalls displaying cloths and clothing, linen, pottery and leatherwork as well as wall hangings and hand-woven rugs and carpets. The stalls also display a large selection of home made food produce, including pickles, jams, chutneys and cheeses. A local hiking trail offers the hiker trails of between two and five days with comfortable wooden huts to sleep in. A visit to Magoebaskloof is a visit to fairyland.
