Greyton Mountain Bike Classic
The Greyton Mountain Bike Classic is an annual event held on The Oaks Farm Manor House in Greyton in the Western Cape, South Africa. The event will take place on the 18th June 2011. Dates for 2012 are to be confirmed.
There's a variety of routes to choose from with varying distances and levels of difficulty. There is a 45km MTB route which is tough and is recommended for fit riders. The route is set through 6 farms and includes many challenges on a variety of terrain from animal tracks, rocky regions, forest and fynbos areas to mention only a few. The 21km MTB route, which is also used for the Trail Run and Duo, starts off on the same route as the first half of the 45km route. The ride is challenging but exciting with great views. The 10km MTB route, also used for the Trail Run and Duo, is an easier route. This route is suitable for all levels of runners and cyclists. The views are spectacular and although there are some climbs, the ride is enjoyable.
