The Franschhoek Motor Museum

Set on the magnificent L Ormarins farm in the beautiful Franschhoek valley, this motor museum is a look back at motoring over the last 100 years. The museum has a unique and exciting collection of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and memorabilia that will fascinate both young and old. There are over 220 vehicles in the museums collection and they range from a 1898 Beeston motor tricycle to a 2003 Ferrari Enzo supercar. The museum claims that at any one time there will be over 80 exhibits, presented in chronological order, on view in the four de-humidified halls. The halls have a total floor area of 2700 square meters making it by far one of the best auto museums on the continent. The vehicles are grouped as follows:
Antique - built before 31 December 1904
Veteran - built between 1 January 1905 and 31 December 1918
Vintage - built between 1 January 1919 and 31 December 1930
