The Ritz Beach Cottage is a beautifully renovated, upmarket beachfront home sleeping up to 10 guests, with spectacular uninterrupted 180-degree views of the Indian Ocean.
The Ritz is genuinely on the beach – front row. Situated in an elevated position, the house enjoys magnificent sea views from the living areas, deck and swimming pool. Simply stroll down the front garden and through the gate and you will arrive on a beautiful, uncrowded stretch of Blythedale Beach. Blythedale is one of the North Coast's quieter beach destinations — a place where you can walk for miles along the beach, often without seeing anyone else. The beach is dog-friendly and so is The Ritz, making it the perfect destination for families and guests travelling with their pets.

THE MAIN HOUSE
The recently renovated main house sleeps 6 guests in three spacious, air-conditioned bedrooms, all with beautifully renovated en-suite bathrooms.
The main and second bedrooms each have King-size beds, while the third bedroom has two single beds which can be pushed together to create a King-size sleeping space. The main en-suite also features a bath.
The main bedroom has new stack-back doors opening directly onto the covered front patio and swimming pool, with uninterrupted 180-degree ocean views. You can dolphin or whale watch from bed!

The heart of the house is the spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, with large stack-back doors opening onto the covered wooden deck and entertainment patio. The result is a wonderful indoor-outdoor living space where the sea is always the feature.
The newly renovated kitchen is a cook's delight, featuring beautiful Baltic pine cabinetry, granite worktops, a large central island, gas hob, double-door fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a dedicated coffee station with its own fridge.

Outside, guests can enjoy the swimming pool, built-in braai and expansive sea views — perfect for relaxed lunches, sunset drinks and evening braais.
There is also free Wi-Fi, a double lock-up garage and automated gates.

THE GARDEN COTTAGE
For larger groups, a separate self-contained two-bedroom garden cottage is available by arrangement as additional accommodation.
The cottage has two air-conditioned bedrooms, a comfortable lounge, kitchenette and bathroom with shower and toilet.
Important: The Garden Cottage cannot be booked or rented separately. It is only available to guests who have booked the Main House and require additional accommodation, bringing the total sleeping capacity to 10 guests.
If you book the Main House only, you will have exclusive use of the entire property — the Garden Cottage will not be occupied by other guests.

RELAX, YOU'RE AT THE OCEAN
The Ritz is all about the experience of being at the ocean.
Enjoy your morning coffee while watching the waves, spend lazy afternoons beside the pool, take a long walk along the beach, watch for dolphins from the deck or look out for whales during the winter months.
And at night, let the sound of the waves lull you to sleep.

The property is fully walled and secure, with an alarm linked to 24-hour armed security. A resident security vehicle patrols the village regularly, providing an additional layer of security.
A daily cleaning service is available on request.
Pets are welcome by arrangement.

BLYTHEDALE BEACH & THE VILLAGE
Located approximately 72 km north of Durban, Blythedale offers a wonderfully relaxed North Coast beach experience, while still being within easy reach of Ballito, Salt Rock and Stanger.
Blythedale Beach is a Blue Flag beach — one of only four Blue Flag beaches on the Dolphin Coast.
Blythedale has a lovely, relaxed village atmosphere, with a local bar and coffee shop/pizzeria, while the Blythedale Beach Ski Boat Club regularly hosts informal functions and social evenings, including braais, drinks and live sporting events.
And no visit to Blythedale is complete without spending some time at Grumpy's Bush & Beach Bar, a unique local favourite nestled amongst the indigenous milkwood trees and sand dunes just steps from the beach.
