Sea-side Spa Apartment - RATES

2024 Rates: Rates per Night for the entire apartment.

  • Out of Season: R 1 550.00 per night. **Min of 2 Nights Stay**
  • In Season (Long Weekends / School Holidays-excluding December School Holiday / Easter): R 2 050.00 per night (** Min of 3 Nights Stay.** Long-stay discount may apply). 
  • High Season (December / January Holiday: 1 December 2023 - 13 December 2024 / 6 January - 15 January 2025): R 2 550.00 per night (Min of 4 Nights Stay during December. ** Long-stay discount may apply). 
  • Peak Season (Easter Weekend & December / January Holiday: 14 December 2024 - 5 January 2025): R 2 850.00 per night (**Min 3 Nights Stay for Easter / Min of 4 Nights Stay during December. ** Long-stay discount may apply). 
  • Breakage Deposit (Refundable): R 2 000.00

General: 
All units are privately owned. Right of admission reserved. No tenants under the age of 21 are permitted without parental supervision for the duration of their stay. Non-compliance of this shall lead to immediate eviction with no refund of rent. Facilities used entirely at own risk. The management and owners of Salt Rock Sands accept no responsibility for any loss, theft, damage or injuries occurring on the premises. Strictly no smoking allowed inside the apartment. Damages to any of the goods at the unit will be charged, should this be required. ** By accepting this quotation / invoice, you agree to adhere to all terms of use of the property. **

Unit Details: 
Check-in from 14h00 and before 18h00 on day of arrival. Late Check-in only on arrangement at least 48 hours in advance. Check-out strictly by 09h30 on day of departure.

Sea-side Spa

Maximum Guests Staying Over: 4 People. We do not allow blow-up mattresses for additional guests. Maximum Day Visitors at Apartment: 4 People. Day Visitors to depart the premises by no later than 22h00 on day of arrival. We do not allow any parties at the unit – no boom boxes (big speakers) / loud music allowed. Non-compliance of this shall lead to eviction with no refund of rent. Please be respectful and considerate towards other guests and our neighbours.

An additional Cleaning Fee of R 700.00 may be charged if the apartment is left in an unacceptable condition. 

Towels:
Please note, bath towels are provided but no swimming / beach towels. Guests are to bring their own swimming / beach towels.

Cleaning Service:
Cleaning Service on request - will be charged at an additional fee of R250.00 per day. A cleaning service include: making of beds, cleaning the bathroom, sweeping and washing the floor, washing the dishes and cleaning the braai. Please note that a Cleaning Service does not include change of linen. 

Breakage / Damage Deposit:

Kindly note that we request a Breakage / Damage Deposit of R 2 000.00. Breakage Deposit of R 2 000.00 will be refunded within a maximum of 3 days after departure via EFT, providing that there are no breakages or damages, and the apartment is left in a good condition. All damages including damage to linen and furniture / goods within the apartment will be charged, should this be required. Guests will be notified by the owners of any damage / breakages telephonically. Should the damage exceed the amount of R 2 000.00, the guest will be personally liable for the total amount and must be settled within 48 hours directly to Salt Rock Sands. If required (claiming from an Insurer), a letter will be issued that may be used to claim from your insurer afterwards. We do not accept insurance settlements.

Pet Policy: Sea-side Spa welcome all dog breeds.  

Pet Policy: General 
To ensure the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all our guests, the following policies apply to your pet’s stay: 

All dogs are welcome and must be healthy and free of ticks / fleas. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or beds. Dogs sleep inside – please bring own beds, bedding and bowls. The unit’s linen may not be used for dogs (In the event of excessive dog hair on linen, guest will be charged an additional fee to have the linen cleaned). 

Dogs are not to be left inside the apartment when guests go out – no exceptions. Non-compliance of this shall lead to a penalty of R 1 000.00. Should damage exceed the amount of R 1 000.00, the guest will be liable for the total amount. The unit has a secure garden. We request that guests leave pets in the garden area when not at the unit. Kindly ensure that dogs are only in designated area of the Penthouse - no dogs allowed in the driveway / front gate area of the Penthouse.

We request that pets are not left alone at the unit for 90 mins or longer a day. We request that pets are not alone from 21h00 at night at the unit. We aim to give all guests a comfortable holiday experience. We welcome guests with and without pets. We request that guests with pets please consider guests without pets (i.e. continuous barking / crying – especially early morning / late at night). Should pets be unsettled at any time of the day (continuous crying / barking), the owner will be notified. Pet owners will be required to promptly address any complaints made by fellow guests or neighbours regarding noise or any other such disturbance that may be caused by the pet/s. 

We request that pets waste will be cleaned and will be disposed of by their owners in secured disposable bags. At all times, the guest must clean on a daily basis, maintain and keep the property in a good and sanitary condition and before checking out. 

We pride ourselves in being one of the most luxurious pet friendly accommodation destinations on the KZN coast. It is our aim to give every customer the perfect experience. We highly discourage pets marking their territory inside the unit. A specialised cleaning service may be acquired on your account, should the need arise. 

Cancellation Policy: Refer to Cancellation Policy 
Should you not be able to travel due to Inter-Provincial Travel bans, we would gladly assist in postponing your holiday (pending availability). This is applicable only for specified traveling dates as set out by the Government. This is not applicable to beach closures. Our Policy do not cover cancellation due to beach closures.

Cancellation Policy: In the event of a Cancellation / Date Change, the following will apply:

  • Booking is confirmed once a deposit is received. We allow a once off date change up to 8 weeks prior to arrival date. Should you wish to change a date after the specified period, this will be for your account – kindly refer to Cancellation Policy details listed. We have a strict Cancellation Policy.
  • 2 months (and longer) before stay: **1 Night Cancellation Penalty applies**. Balance of remaining Deposit is refundable by 100%.
  • 1 month before stay date: **1 Night Cancellation Penalty applies**. Balance of remaining Deposit is refundable by 50%.
  • 2 weeks before stay date: **1 Night Cancellation Penalty applies**. Balance of remaining Deposit is refundable by 25%.
  • Less than 2 weeks before stay date: 0% of deposit is refundable.
  • Less than 1 week before stay date: 0% of deposit is refundable. Guest liable for 100% of total accommodation account.
  • ** 1 Night Cancellation Penalty: a cancellation fee equivalent to one night’s stay.**

  • **In general: Our Policy do not cover cancellation due to beach closures. **

Cancellation Policy: In the event of changes to an Existing Booking (less number of days), the following will apply:

  • 1 month before stay date: 50% of total account (reduced days) is payable.
  • 2 weeks before stay date: 75% of total account (reduced days) is payable.
  • Less than 2 weeks before stay date: 100% of total account (reduced days) is payable.

Rates are subject to change without notice.

Terms Of Payment
Price quoted for the unit per night and include linen and towels but exclude beach towels.

Breakage Deposit: R 1 000.00 breakage deposit is required and will be refunded within 3 working days of departure providing that there are no breakages and the apartment is left in a good condition.
Arrival & Departure Times
Check-in after 14h00 and before 19h00.
Check-out by 10h00.
