First, the not so good: The road up the mountain isn't great, but if you take it easy and enjoy the journey a standard sedan can make the trip. And, the bed doesn't have a fitted sheet so for restless sleepers like my hubby and I, it meant getting all twisted in the sheet.
But OMW what a destination?! I cannot recommend it enough... The cabin is so well equipped that you literally only need personal toiletries and food. Big bags of wood are available for purchase (so don't take your own). The cabin sleeps 8 but honestly, it's such a romantic destination I can't imagine taking anyone other than my significant other and it's so peaceful that on the first day you might think you've gone deaf!
We spent 3 nights at Seletwane but would've loved a few more. It's a proper detox from the city.

We had a fantastic few days away with the family. Stayed in log cabin number 2 which has a breathtaking view. The cell phone signal is poor (just what we hoped for) and you need a car with a bit of ground clearance to get to the cabins. We had an inverter in the car to charge camera batteries as there's no power in the cabin. Loved it! We'll definitely go back.

We actually visited this place in September 2008 for our honeymoon.
And had a bit of trouble getting to the cabin. ( Volvo S40 on a gravel road ) and Johan and Bets helped us out to get to the cabin and even offered to buy us groceries for the time that we stayed there.
