This place is truly where a piece of Heaven meets earth. I booked accommodation in one of the exceptionally beautiful chalets for me and my fiancee on Valentines weekend. The unit was far above what I expected, there were so much attention to detail that was visible. You could see the personal touch of the host Sue in every little detail. It was such a comfortable and convenient setting, you literally have to bring your toothbrush and your clothes, the rest is there, from bath salt for the jacuzi, butter, jam, ice, coffee, tea, sugar etc, and even their own home made salad dressing. (It is divine, by the way!) Not to mention the delicious homemade rusks baked by Sue herself. We were even spoilt with a bottle of Champagne and Sherry in the Chalet. The Chalet was serviced in the mornings so I could just relax, did not have to worry about anything. Staff and management are at your call for whatever you need and it is always service with a smile! The chalets are completely private, no noise, no TV just peace and tranquility. The bird life is something to see!
You can conveniently order your meals from the coffee shop should you not want to prepare your own or do not want to braai. The lamb curry and chicken salad were soooooo good! Chocolate cake......moist and melts in your mouth, an absolute treat.
They have a beautiful communal braai area which is so convenient with cutlery, braai spice and fire lighters all provided. The lookout point and the view from the chalet, is something you have to experience yourself as words cannot do justice or describe the beauty when you overlook the Gorge and God's master piece.
Everything is neat and tidy at all times. The accommodation I booked included a full English breakfast in the mornings. Oh my goodness, this was such a treat. It was a huge delicious and very filling breakfast, that kept us running for the whole day!
Service in the coffee shop was impeccable and the waiters were all super helpful and friendly. The personal touches and the history of the Farm explained to you in the coffee shop when you view the photos is so interesting.
I honestly could not find one single thing I can complain about, do yourself a favour and book your next break away here, you will not be disappointment.
Thank you Sue, for sharing your piece of heaven with us, we truly enjoyed every second of our stay with you and will definitely be back to visit again, Paul and Laetitia
