We recently returned from a weekend getaway. Breathtaking scenery, long walks exploring the farm and the sweet scent of roses still linger. Lavender 2 Cottage is quaint and well equipped. Definitely a place to visit when one needs to rejuvenate mind, body and soul. Thank you Karin for sharing your beautiful farm with us.

Last year we spent a weekend at Lavender Cottage No 3. On our way home from a beach holiday last month, we decided to stop over in Elgin for a night to visit some wine farms in the area. this time we booked at Libertas House. As luck with have it, lock down was imposed the day we arrived. It did not matter. We spent two glorious days in Libertas House with views beyond compare. The house is so well-equipped and so beautifully decorated and the surrounding area so stunningly beautiful, we felt as if we were in Tuscany or Provence. Cannot recommend Karin Boome's beautiful and reasonably-priced cottages highly enough. We'll be back! Shirley Johnston Wilson.

Loved Lavender Cottage 3! Crisp white linen, beautiful views from every window and the patio. The piping hot shower, a cosy fireplace and hot water bottles were most welcome since the spring weather suddenly turned chilly. Karin was a charming, hands-off hostess and had catered to our every need with delightful extras: rusks, cereal, fruit in a bowl, salt, pepper, milk, paper towels, absolutely everything we needed for our short stay. Ideal for two couples or a family. And they're dog-friendly. We shall be back with our dog!

My daughters and i went up to stay at Libertas house for the long weekend over womans day. What a fabulous place and welcome. We were greeted at the farmhouse by Karin and her husband who then took us to our "cottage". The cottage was more like a luxury house with stunning mountain views, beautifully decorated bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and for me "the best" crisp, clean cotton sheets and duvets. There is a huge farmhouse kitchen equipped with everything you need and a lounge with a wonderful fireplace. Karin's husband popped in to see we were all right a few times, which we so appreciated being 3 women on our own. Although it was freezing cold we stayed inside by the fire reading and playing games and occasionally venturing outside for a walk.
Would I go there again-definitely
Would I recommend it-definitely
rating 9/10.It would have been a 10 but hot water bottles for bedtime would have been an amazing touch!! as the weekend was cold

With a view over orchards during the day and a sky full of stars at night we enjoyed our four nights here as part of our winelands tour. Bed, braai and plenty of hot water, lovely and helpful hosts, regular visits from the resident dogs, and a feeling of being secure and at peace.
