Absolutely amazing, no other words to describe it, definitely going back. Breakfast on the deck couldn't be more beautiful, with stunning well kept garden and Mike and Barbara are super special.

My husband and I travel a lot for business - we have stayed in few places where we have felt so at home. From the first call with Michael to arrival day and meeting Barbara. Lovely, friendly & genuinely warm welcoming people. Everything was spotless. No request went unheeded. What a pleasure to deal with wonderful people like Mike & Barbara. Breakfast were awesome...chats in the morning - lovely! We will definitely be back should our work be in that area again. May you both be blessed with health, continuous business and loads of joy. We loved the house and gardens. We had breakfast overlooking the kloof nature reserve. The hosts were amazing. Definitely a special place to visit. Would love to go back.

We stayed here when we went to a wedding in Kloof park. The hosts were amazing and it was nestled in beautiful gardens overlooking the nature park. We had breakfast outside with a beautiful view. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Spoiled rotten.... what a wonderful piece of heaven on earth. I have stayed here a few times and will not stay anywhere else when in Durban. Serene, peaceful and very special hosts.

My husband spent two nights with Barbara and Mike and he loved it and was spoilt rotten! He says Barbara and Mike were the most perfect hosts and went out of their way to make him feel welcome and at home. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and stocked with an ample supply of tea, cofee and milk and the breakfast was fantastic. If we ever have to be in the Durban area for any reason in the future this is the only place we will stay. Beautiful views and wonderful peace and quiet.

Barbara and Mike Calderwood the owners of Far Place in Kloof couldn't have been kinder. Their Far Place BnB is a haven away from the madding crowd, set in delightful gardens with a magnificent view of the Krantzkloof yet central to everything. My bedroom en-suite with comfortable sitting room area was extremely comfortable and spacious. And Barbara's breakfasts were so delicious and perfect. Really, when I think of her and Far Place my heart smiles. I was blessed indeed to find this at very short notice. I am deeply grateful to have found this piece of heaven.
