This is my all time favorite second home. It's a safe place to bring the family for a getaway. If the weather is great then you can spend you days at the pool or on the beach. You can take a nice walk along the beach to go buy some fresh fruit from the street vendors.
When the weather isn't great, you can braai on the verandah and play some games inside or chill and read a book.
The best little hideaway too if you need time away to get some work done with your business partners or a fun weekend away with the girls to just get some me time.
I highly recommend this absolute GEM.

We enjoyed this beautiful beachfront apartment at Balooga 15 for the second time.The unit is tastefully decorated with all necessary amenities. The owner was helpful and accommodating. Balooga is a well maintained and managed complex, a surreal tranquil getaway that’s safe and secure. We will definitely stay there again, no stairs to the apartment and parking is just outside the unit, DSTV, Megamaster gas braai, inverter & Jojo’s make this the perfect luxurious getaway for a family. Just carry your WiFi & Beach Towels! Ps. 3 nights is not enough!

Had an exceptional stay for my husband's birthday weekend. Even received complimentary "birthday treats". Flat was immaculate and neat, attention to detail and spacious yet cozy. Really loved being there and looking forward to our next stay. Thank you Yvette for providing such homely accommodation.

Definitely a 11 out of 10 for this apartment. I booked @ Balooga 15 for my birthday in mid Jan 2022, I was so impressed upon arrival at the unit with the pristine cleanliness and warm welcome of the ocean. The unit has a beautiful overlooking view of the ocean, rooms are clean and airy. I will definitely be back as we have now chosen this as our number 1 accommodation in Margate ... I would say a Home away from Home.

Booked the place for my daughter's 16th birthday and I must admit I was blown away with the service, location and quality. The view is spectacular, the amenities are perfect, the place is immaculate when it comes to cleanliness and hygiene. Linen is fresh and clean. It really is a home away from home. Class on another level. 10 out of 10 from me. Yvette and her housekeeper are amazing. Will be back for my birthday and any other reason I can find thereafter. It is now our family's local holiday destination.

The unit is clean and tranquil. A home away from home. Waking up to a sea view was out of this world. I'm definitely going back. I had a very relaxing time here with all entertainment facilities close by.

This is my fifth stay at this unit and it is immaculate, the owner is absolutely kind and very hands on, the unit is 5 star with direct ocean views, well maintained and very neat, also very safe, 24 hrs security. If you looking for a 5 star unit then 15 Balooga is for you.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. This is a very well kept unit and the views are tops. The owner went out of her way to make our honeymoon memorable. She organized a bouquet of flowers, chocolates, champagne and placed flowers on the floor from the entrance all the way to the main bedroom at your own cost. My wife was really surprised. We highly recommend this unit.

I had made a booking with Yvette for Dec 2rth till 27th. However due to personal reasons I had to cancel our booking. Wow what an amazingly honest person she was. She was totally understanding and refunded my deposit in full in 2 days.. She is an amazingly honest woman. I will definitely be back and I will recommend her to anyone. God bless you Yvette..

All i can say is that it was a beautiful place and kids room was stunning. We love everything about Balooga wish to come back in December 2019.

Wow! What comfortable accommodation and the feel of home the moment you step in. The beautiful ocean views and only a short walk to the beach is ideal for families with young ones. With a very well equipped kitchen, braai facilities makes your stay even more pleasant. The complex is well secured with 24 hour security. Our family has stay here twice already and we will definitely be back again.

It was a fantastic stay. The apartment was neat, clean & very comfortable. Great beach and sea views. Kids enjoyed the space in and around. Great for paraplegics and elderly. Highly Recommended.

From the time we arrived at the gate - my word, to the time we walked in the house, what a wow. The freshness of everything, it was everything I expected and more. The view in the morning, I mean everything was just perfect. The convenience of everything - just walking distance to the beach, the shops, the hang spots. I'm definitely coming back soon. We were down in Durban for holidays and also decided to visit Margate from 31 December 2018 to 03 Jan 2019. Our stay was at Balooga apartments no 15. What an awesome tranquil holiday area. The apartment itself is so warm and cozy with magnificent sea views. The place is clean and suitable for a family. We will definitely visit Balooga 15 again in the near future.

We stayed at Balooga 15. The experience was nothing short of amazing. The unit is modern, upmarket and extremely neat and tidy. The welcome experience had a unique 'special touch to it'. We were directly in front of the ocean with unobstructed views, and enjoyed dolphin and whale watching. The direct access to the beach and tidal pool made for a quick safe walk. We loved the close proximity to Wimpy, KFC, KEG and others. We loved the close proximity to all amenities and the nearby entertainment apart from the beach. We were able to take evening walks safely. Balooga as a block of flats is one of the most well maintained buildings on Marine Drive. It was all but too short in such a beautiful place!

From the initial pictures on WhereToStay, through the booking process, and then the entire holiday, everything ran smoothly and simply. The apartment had everything we needed, was well furnished, and my entire family felt right at home from the moment we stepped through the door. We were greeted by amazing views, and small gestures around the unit that helped us feel welcomed. Yvette was amazing, and made sure to check in and make sure everything was running smoothly. We could not have asked for a better holiday! We had daily sightings of whales and large pods of dolphins, access to a small and cozy beach, and we were also right by the Tidal pool. Quick access to Ramsgate, and Margate town centre, and with the South Coast Mall and Shelly Centre within a 15 minute drive, made everything so accessible and convenient, without feeling like you were right in the middle of all the bustle. We have missed being there since the day we got home, and are already planning our next visit! Thank you Yvette and Balooga 15!

It was an amazing weekend. The place was beautiful and the apartment was very homely...well set up. The owner was outstanding by accommodating our needs ans preparing for our arrival. Would love to go back...the view was breath taking.

We absolutely loved Balooga 15. From the time of booking until our return, we were well attended to by Yvette. The place is beautiful, tastefully decorated and neat. We were not in want for anything. The stunning views, layout of the apartment and convenient proximity to the town made it a very appealing apartment. I am already recommending the place to friends and family and will definitely be back!

This was such a beautiful and relaxed holiday. The unit itself is so homely, spacious, comfortable and well cared for, the views are breathtaking, full frontal ocean views. The pictures do not do it justice, you have to experience it to fully appreciate the beauty of it. Also the owner Yvette was such a pleasure to work with, she was so accommodating. I definitely will be booking here again, i just got back home but cant wait to go back there.

It is picture perfect.....what you see is what you get. It is clean and well equipped. The helper is friendly and available at your own cost should you need her during your stay.
We have already booked our next stay there....... there's a beautiful beach across the road...good for swimming, good for chilling and good for fishing:-)

Yvette was the best hostess we have ever encountered. It was my anniversary and she went out of her way in preparing her unit for us, from adding chocolates, strawberries and champagne to putting rose petals around the unit. She has everything you need and the apartment is clean and tidy, and ever so peaceful. We enjoyed eating out in the balcony, the sea views are magnificent. Definitely will be visiting again soon. First I want to compliment the agent, Evette was exceptional in all ways possible, her service was impeccable, 15 Balooga is 5 star to me and set on the best part of Margate, exceptional sea views , well maintained unit with all the luxurious of home, fully kitted kitchen, enough utensils dishes, pots , pans etc.
I personally will stay at 15 Balooga again and not only because it is beautiful but because of Evette and her 5 Star service.

Unit 15 Balooga was a very comfortable and warm stay for my family and I. Had an absolutely beautiful weekend. Unit was sparkling clean. Very spacious and was fully equipped. Toilets and bathrooms was very neat and tidy. Security was at its best. Yvette was a very understanding and helpful person at all times. Best unit i stayed in so far. Five stars for 15 Balooga. Will be visiting again.

This is a beautiful apartment, with lovely sea views. Well maintained clean block, with good security. Felt safe and secure. Kids enjoyed the pool, playing on the front lawn and on the beach and watching DSTV on the rainy days! The owners were a real pleasure to deal with. Will recommend it to anyone and will definitely be back.

We had a great time at Balooga 15, over the festive December. The location is Very central but away from the confusion of high season holiday time. On a quite, private and well kept building.
When we arrived, the unit was clean and tidy. With fresh towels and chocolates on the beds awaiting us.
The flat is spacious, we where four adults and a child, and din't feel cramped at all. Beautifully furnished with a lovely balcony, where we enjoyed braaing wile looking at the sea. The direct access to the beach is a plus and the garden and swimming pool is clean and inviting, my grandson had a really good time in it.
Everything functioned well on the very well equipped kitchen, (all I recommend is a bigger size pot to boil pasta). There was even a tumble drier to dry our towels for the next day. The owners where very friendly and helpful when we couldn't connect the Dstv, and arranged for a technician straight away. I enjoyed dealing with Yvette, and would like to say thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful holiday home. I would like to return soon. My deposit was returned soon after I arrived home. Which is a bonus when you just been spending. I will recommend BALOOGA 15 to anyone wanting a classy and relaxed holiday.

The views from this unit are spectacular. The unit itself was spotless and neat. The owners were very friendly and a joy to deal with.
The unit is easy to get to and very close to the main beach, but not too close where traffic and noise becomes a problem. There is direct beach access from the building (not a swimming beach but the rock pools were plenty of fun).
All items, utensils and appliances provided were clean and worked perfectly.
It was our first trip to Margate and staying in this unit really was the cherry on top!
