We loved everything about the apartment. Nerisha and her husband were wonderful hosts. We had everything we needed and even more. When they said only bring your clothes and food they meant it. The attention to every detail was much appreciated. From teas and coffees to shower gels. Toothpaste, charcoal, water, juice and extra towels and so much more. Stunning decor in each room. Extra gas stoves. The space was more than enough. Every detail of the apartment was perfect. We lacked nothing. Early check in and late check out...this was definitely a first for us. We even extended our stay...we loved our stay and will definitely be back.

Nerisha was a very pleasant person to deal with. We were just blown away walking into the apartment. It was a beautiful place with an incredible view. A spacious fully equipped unit which was the perfect home away from home. Will definitely be back.

We booked this beautiful unit over the weekend to celebrate my daughters 15th birthday. Nerisha our host was so pleasant and efficient and so willing to assist. We had a wonderful time at this unit. It was incredibly neat and tidy. Fully equipped with all the latest appliances, even had an airfryer which made our lives so much easier. She even went the extra mile and ensured that she stocked the fridge with bottled water, cool drinks, milk and even ice. The kitchen had a fully stocked tea and coffee station. More than enough cutlery and crockery. The bathrooms were stocked with bubble bath, body wash soap and toothpaste. Had sufficient towels and bedding. Also had so many beach toys that the kids could enjoy.
I have stayed in four other units in this complex and always had to carry all my own stuff but here I was pleasantly surprised as everything was catered for all you needed was your clothing and food.
We had an amazing weekend and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her birthday.
We most definitely will be visiting La Pirogue 56 soon. Highly recommend!

This place is absolutely stunning. It has everything you could need for a stay. We had a family birthday party here and it was good. Fully furnished and has a kitchen that provides for all the catering you would need to do. I was so impressed with this. The owners/hosts are such pleasant and lovely people, understanding to our every request and so helpful. This was the perfect stay. Definitely highly recommended.

A well located apartment with all the facilities one can ask.
I have been to many places but I have not been so impressed as this place. It has all the appliances one may need should there be power outages. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were well ventilated.
The bathrooms were very spacious with plentiful of towels.

This is my second visit to La Pirogue and it is an absolutely stunning and beautiful place to stay. The accommodation is filled with every goodie required to enjoy your stay. No need to carry beach stuff, the owners have catered for everything. La Pirogue is spacious, clean and extremely neat and tidy. Not to mention, if you forgot your toothpaste, you will be covered.

The apartment was very clean and well maintained. Well planned kitchen with every utensil u will need. I was very impressed with the cooking utensils also. Best self-catering apartment ever and I have been to many facilities. Just a few minutes walk to the beach. Beautiful setup and quiet neighborhood. Above and beyond for a self-catering unit. I really enjoyed my stay and have already recommended to family and friends. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants. You won't be disappointed.

You will make no mistakes booking here. The apartment has everything imaginable, and then some! The beach is conveniently across the road. The pool is a few steps out of your apartment. Impeccable and meticulous...the owners have thought of everything. Extremely well maintained and clean. Not a thing out of place. Even has back up lights during load shedding. Look no further...this is the place you've been looking for!

I highly recommend this unit and host. Stayed here in a July. I've never seen a self catering unit more equipped than this, ever in my life. I don't want to give the details away and ruin the many surprises... I've worked in hospitality / hotels for over 25 years, and this unit by far is the best one experienced. More over, there are too many scammers out there that can't be trusted, so it was a relief to find a reputable home away from home. Will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at 56 La Pirogue. The apartment was very clean, very comfortable, and very well equipped. Great pool area with an outdoor shower and secure parking as well. The location was ideal for visiting the beach and only a short walk to the grocery store. Lots of great restaurants nearby to explore as well. Nerisha (our host) was kind, helpful and welcoming. We had traveled a very long way and Nerisha made sure that our transition in and out was smooth. We will definitely be visiting again!

I stayed there with my family on the 10th March to the 12th, it was the most comfortable place I ever stayed at. Nerisha the host is so accommodating, we even had birthday candles for the cake, she's flexible with check in and check out times. Place is super neat and tidy. Beautiful seaviews. Loved the pool area, will definitely book there again.

Apartment had everything you need, clean and modern.
Very comfortable and an enjoyable stay, being on the first floor had a lovely view and it's a short walk to the beach.
Owners are pleasant and accommodating.

Spent the weekend with the wife and my 2 girls and they absolutely loved the place, probably the safest place u can be in Durban right now, with ample gated parking, everything u need in a holiday home, with 2 pools, adults and kiddies, which of course my girls couldn't get enough of. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend this destination for anyone looking to get away and take a break from everyday life.

Our 2nd stay at LA Pirogue...memories are always fun and magical...again we had overcast weather...but water in pool was warm... walks through the mini wetland and views of the ocean was thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you to the owners for their friendly welcome. La Pirogue is walking distance to the beach and we really enjoyed our walk on the promenade. We also appreciated our walk to the local stores...( groceries and clothing ) less than 5 minutes away. We are already planning our next visit to La Pirogue.

We visited Durban from Belgium and stayed at La Pirogue for 3 nights.
The apartment was well decorated, clean and had everything you could want from toiletries, iron, hairdryer to surf boards, darts, beach chair, beach mats, hair iron and all the dishes and pots one could need. The hosts were super accommodating and polite. My kids loved that they could literally walk to the beach across the street and could not get enough of the two pools right outside the door. We visited amazing restaurants within walking distance. In the event there should be a power cut the apartment has bright rechargeable lanterns in all the rooms and a gas stove. The shopping mall is also within walking distance. We will surely be back as we all loved it.

My family and I stayed at this holiday home for 5 nights. I highly recommend the accommodation. It was easy to deal with the host, the unit was clean, central to the beach and shops, very safe, ample parking and good value for money. The unit is stocked with everything you can think off. It was an amazing family holiday. Will definitely be back.
