The Cottage is situated 20km from Harrismith along the N3 - Durban bound, there is a 1 km gravel road from the Highway which takes you to the cottage. (No 4x4 vehicle needed!)

The facility is part of a working farm, accommodating the management of two studs. We take great pride in the breeding of "Arabian horses" and "Brangus cattle", amidst a pristine setting where man and nature co-exist peacefully. This luxurious self-catering cottage sleeps 6 people, has gas lighting and a large cosy fireplace; making it an ideal retreat for those who want to get away from it all or your ideal stop-over on your way to or from the coast.

The cottage has an upper storey sleeping deck (4 single beds), main bedroom (1 double bed), 1 bathroom (toilet, bath & hand shower), fully-equipped kitchen, dining/sitting area and outdoor veranda. Wood is provided daily (free of charge) for the large fireplace and a Weber is available for outdoor braai's (No charcoal provided). The cottage has been designed to be warm in winter and cool in summer. Clean towels and bedding are provided, with extra blankets available in the cupboard.

The farm is available for walks, fishing and birding with the river and marshes within 500m of the cottage. 80 year old oak forests fringe the marshes in the valley and help create a nature lovers' paradise where small game can also be encountered.
