Marichel Unit 4 is a luxury apartment overlooking Thompson's Bay in Ballito. The airport is situated +/- 20 km away. Durban, the closest city, is +/- 60km away.. The apartment contains 4 bedrooms en-suite. The main bedroom has a double bed and the other three have two single beds. The unit also has a TV lounge, an open plan fully fitted kitchen, dining area and a more formal lounge which leads onto a huge verandah with outside lounge and dining room table. . There is a double lock up garage. The beach is accessible via a locked gate that is on the property and there is also a communal swimming pool at the entrance to this very secure complex. We have full DStv facilities. A gas braai is available. The unit is serviced every day except on Sundays and public holidays.

    In the event of premature departure, we may charge for the full original booking.

    3 months before stay date: 90% of deposit is refundable

    1 month before stay date: 75% of deposit is refundable or 25% of full quote value(whichever is greater)

    2 weeks before stay date: 0% of deposit is refundable

    On receipt of a written instruction to cancel, Marichel 4 will refund the applicable amount as determined by the cancellation terms as stipulated, within 5 working days. Marichel 4 levies a 4.5%administration fee on any refunds processed. Should refunds to a SWIFT bank account be required, an additional R450.00 charge will be levied.





    Taxes and Extras

    Please note that there is an additional key collection fee of R200.00 together with a refundable breakage deposit of R2 000.00. Should refunds to a SWIFT bank account be required, an additional R450.00 charge will be levied.
  • Arrival & Departure Times
    Tenants may take occupation from 14h00 onwards and the accommodation is to be vacated by

    10h00 on the date of departure. These times are stipulated in order to facilitate the necessary

    cleaning services. Please note that during Peak Season, due to it being so busy, we ask our tenants to

    please be patient with regards to any delays.

Should payment not be honoured for any reason whatsoever keys shall not be given or left out. Should payment not be honoured for any reason whatsoever keys shall not be given or left out. You will also be liable for such legal costs on an attorney and own client scale, including any tracing agent fees and shall bear interest at the rate of 25% (twenty five percent) per annum from date of such dishonourment. 4.Deposits are not refundable unless the accommodation is re-let for the full period minus a R500.00 cancellation fee. 5.MARICHEL 4 reserves the right to substitute similar accommodation should the unit booked not be available for any reason whatsoever. 6.The maximum number of persons occupying the unit must not exceed the number of beds. Should we find that more people are being accommodated than allowed (i.e. the number of persons occupying the flat/house must not exceed the number of beds), please be advised that we have the right to ask you to leave, Forfeiting your rental. 7.Linen is supplied. Flats are equipped with beach and bath towels. 8.Should TV sets or electrical appliances go faulty during your stay, we will endeavour to have them repaired or replaced as soon as possible. However, no reduction in rent will be allowed for delays beyond our control. 9.Pets are not allowed under any circumstances 10.Students are not allowed unless accompanied by an adult for the duration of their stay. Should we find students staying without adult supervision they shall be evicted with immediate effect. 11.Tenants may take occupation from 14h00 onwards and the accommodation is to be vacated by 10h00 on the date of departure. These times are stipulated in order to facilitate the necessary cleaning services. Please note that during Peak Season, due to it being so busy, we ask our tenants to please be patient with regards to any delays. 12.Guests attend this establishment at their own risk. The Proprietor, ("the Proprietor") shall not be liable for, and the guest/s hereby waive/s and abandon/s any claims of whatever nature including but not limited to that for theft, injury, loss or damage of whatever nature, against the Proprietor, whether arising from the Proprietor's default, negligence or otherwise. The guest/s, in addition to the aforesaid, hereby indemnify the Proprietor against any claims which may arise from whatever nature, whether arising from the Proprietor's default, negligence or otherwise. 13.On departure please close windows & lock up patio furniture & Braai inside unit. Alarm systems must be activated on departure. The TV needs to be kept on due to humidity. 14.A cleaning service is available on a daily, weekly or monthly basis with the exception of Public Holidays and Sundays. The service includes vacuuming, mopping floors, dishes, Cleaning patios, dusting, emptying of rubbish bins, Cleaning of bathrooms and making of beds. We kindly request you are not to approach them as they work to an extremely tight schedule. 15.No sub-letting is allowed. 16.Keys are available during office hours from FAMILY GETAWAYS at shop No 17 Balvista Centre, (Bottom Spar) BALLITO Monday – Friday 08h00 – 16h30, and Saturday’s 08h30 . Phone: 032 – 946 0737 12h00. After hours you can pick keys up from the Caltex Garage and drop them off in the key box outside the Family Getaways office. 17. The Breakage Deposit will be paid by approx. the 10th of the month following departure. Breakage deposits are NOT held in an interest bearing account. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL BREAKAGES AND/OR DAMAGES WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM BREAKAGE DEPOSIT. 18. There is a minimum stay policy during Semi Season and In Season of 5 days and 7 days during Peak Season.
