Two-bedroomed all-equiped house located on the island of Macaneta, district of Marracuene, 30 km North of Maputo. Located in the semi-wilderness, 400 m from the beach, 500 m from some bars and restaurant. You need a 4WD, or we can arrange transport.

This is a wooden house, build in 2014, with two bedrooms, a fully equiped kitchen, and a large living-room. There is an inside bathroom with toilet and shower. Water is constant, it comes from a well. Electricity is usually not a problem, but power cuts occasionally occur. There is a large deck overlooking the wilderness, and a large braai area with outside kitchen. The house is set on a large plot (2500 m2) with out-buildings that can accommodate more guests if necessary. Part of the plot is landscaped, part is volontarily left wild. The whole plot is securely fenced for your security, with inside parking space. possibility of puting tents if necessary.

A manager / caretaker is present off-site, and can respond to all your requirements without impeding on your privacy.

Every part of the house, and the plot and garden, is accessible. You may use all the house equipment, braai area, and the basics such as oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, and basic cleaning and shower stuff. Some family games are present.

You would be better off with your own 4WD transport, but private transport can be arranged at an extra cost and advance notice, from the airport, Maputo, or Marracuene. By public transport, you can reach about 1.5 km from the house.

You are in the bush! Next to the road, 10 min by foot to the beach, there is a bar 500 m away, and a few restaurants in some resorts in the vicinity, but you are unlikely to see anyone in the vicinity of the house. Great view of the wilderness from the deck. No safety problems ever encountered in the area, neither from humans or animals. There are some vervet monkeys around, but they have never approached the house so far.

There are basic shops on the island, you will never die of hunger, but you will be better off bringing your supply from Maputo, or at least Marracuene.

No WiFi, but you can get a decent 3G connection from a phone or a computer.
