Terms Of Payment
A booking is only confirmed once fifty percent (50%) of the total amount due
for the booked time of the Tenant’s stay at our flat is paid into the Bank account,
on or before the relevant date as mentioned on the booking confirmation, and
notice of such payment is emailed to the Owner.

(By negotiating with the Owner, a Tenant may be allowed to pay off the total
amount due in fixed monthly payments, but the full amount must be settled two
(2) weeks prior to the Tenant’s arrival.)

The remaining fifty percent (50%) of the total amount due for the booked time of
the Tenant’s stay at our flat is to be paid on or before two weeks (14 days) prior to
the Tenant’s arrival – under the same conditions as stated above, under the Terms
of payment.

NOTE: “The total amount due” comprises the nightly rate for the period requested
PLUS R250.00 for a booking / cleaning fee (for the preparation of our flat
prior to the Tenant’s arrival) AND a breakage deposit of R750.00.
The breakage deposit is refunded to the Tenant within 7 to 10 days of their
departure, upon the confirmation of a “clear” inventory from our Housekeeper,
subject to the Tenant providing us with their full Bank details, upon our
request to do so, to enable us to refund the breakage deposit to the Tenant
via EFT.
Cancellation Policy
A booking may be cancelled any time BEFORE the date that the deposit was to
have been paid (as mentioned on our booking confirmation form emailed to the
prospective Tenant.

Once the deposit has been paid – please note our booking confirmation states
that a paid deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE!

However, if genuine mitigating circumstances (to the sole satisfaction of the flat
Owner) are provided, in writing or email, to the Owner, the Owner may agree to
a refund of part or the whole of the deposit.

Also, should another Tenant book the dates vacated by a cancelled booking the Owner
will refund the deposit paid.

There is no refund for early departure, for whatever reason.
Arrival & Departure Times
Arrival: NOT BEFORE 14.00 hours (2 p.m.)
Departure: BEFORE 09.00 hours (9 a.m.)
No pets are allowed at the Complex.

No smoking inside the flat.

A minimum of four (4) night’s stay out of season, and 7 nights stay in season (School holidays), and 10 nights stay in peak season (December/January School holiday) is required.

A maximum of four (4) adults and two (2) children, under the age of 10 years can be accommodated in our flat.

No students are allowed in the Kenwyn on Sea Complex, unless their Parents accompany them throughout their stay.

Should any unaccompanied students be found residing in our flat without their Parents accompanying them, they will be evicted without any refund of monies paid.

An abridged copy of Kenwyn on Sea’s Tenant rules will be in an envelope with your name on it, (in the safe on the wall outside the Manager’s office) together with an inventory list and the relevant keys and gate/garage remote, when the Tenant
arrives. The Tenant is requested to sign for the acceptance of the Tenant rules and to complete the inventory list.

Our flat is serviced every day (except weekends & public holidays.) This service is in the form of cleaning the bathrooms and showers, dusting and the sweeping and mopping of the floors and does NOT include the making of beds, nor the washing of
dishes, etc. – unless with prior arrangement between the Cleaner and the Tenant, at an agreed price between them, for the Tenant’s cost. If any dishes are left to be washed upon your departure, (in the absence of above agreement), a fee of R75.00 will be deducted from your breakage deposit refund.

Bed linen is replaced once a week if the Tenant’s stay is longer than seven (7) nights.
