Kata Charis is truly a Nature Lover's paradise: Boasting breathtaking views
of the beautiful Sabie River Valley. Situated on a 42ha farm on the inside edge
of the untouched mountains of the Hazyview - Kiepersol Conservancy, Kata Charis
overlooks a beautiful 3 ha dam - A hidden gem.
Our accommodation consists of only two exclusive and spacious chalets, comfortably furnished with fully equipped kitchens. Linen and bath towels are provided.
The surrounds are peaceful with abundant plant and animal life - Rich in bird life, indigenous and endemic tree species as well as beautiful wild flowers. Maybe you will be fortunate enough to spot a yawning hippo, a hovering kingfisher, the Paintbrush-Lilies in bloom or hear a Fish Eagle's cry. Besides the hippo's and abundant bird and butterfly species other small game are often spotted, including Bush Buck, Cape Claw-less Otter, wild hares, Red Duiker, Bush Pigs, Vervet monkey, bushbaby etc.
Freshwater fishing in the dam is allowed free of charge. Kata Charis is ideal if you wish to bring your bicycles, canoe or paddle ski's.

a.. Take R 536 to Hazyview
b.. Continue on this road for 35 km.
c.. Take Kiepersol turn off to the right, this is a dirt road
d.. Travel 1.2 km on this dirt road, turn right to Kata Charis.
e.. You will travel for approx. 400m before you will see the chalets.
Directions from Nelspruit:
a.. From Nelspruit the R40 via White River to Hazyview.
b.. Continue through Hazyview, even leaving it again.
c.. Turn left at a stop street into R536 in the direction of Sabie.
d.. Continue on the R 536 for about 8 km
(DO NOT TURN OFF EARLIER!)
e.. After approx 8 km you will see "Aan de Vliet" on your right hand side.
f.. After the bend in the road take the dirt road on your left, Kiepersol.
g.. Travel 1.2 km on this dirt road, turn right to Kata Charis.
h.. You will travel for approx. 400m before you will see the chalets.
!! Do NOT take the first Kiepersol turn off after just a few kilometres on the R536 as this will take you in the WRONG DIRECTION!!
